«Asclepius One Health» participated for the third consecutive year in the ‘Forum’ 24 organized by the Hellenic Companion Animal Veterinary Society (HCAVS) in Thessaloniki on 12-14 April, both with its own information stand and with the participation of associates and members of its Scientific Council in the scientific program of the Forum.

This year, 21 distinguished speakers from Greece and abroad participated in the Forum ’24 of the HCAVS, 4 pre-conference seminars were organized, 72 free papers were presented, and 14 posted papers were presented.

Hundreds of veterinarians from all over Greece as well as undergraduate and postgraduate students of Veterinary Schools attended the scientific program of the Forum and visited the areas of the exhibition in which a total of 46 exhibitors from Greece and abroad participated.

At the information stand of “Asclepius One Health”, veterinarians, students of Veterinary Schools and visitors to the exhibition had the opportunity to learn about the initiatives undertaken and implemented by Asclepius OH in the field of One Health, mainly through a series of research and information activities and by raising public awareness for the purposes of the interdisciplinary approach of One Health.

At the same time, in the framework of the Forum’24, the scientific associate of “Asclepius One Health”, veterinarian Ioulia Chortara presented the project “Creation and Implementation of a surveillance system for Chronic Kidney Disease in dogs in Greece”.

Finally, the Assistant Professor in the Department of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Thessaly and Member of the Scientific Council of “Asclepius One Health” George Valiakos was among the instructors of the Pre-Conference Seminar on the rational use of antibiotics in companion animals.
