
Dr. Constantina Ν Tsokana is an Assistant Professor at the Laboratory of Parasitology and Parasitic Diseases at the School of Veterinary Medicine, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She was born in 1989 in Kozani, Greece.
She completed her Diploma in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Thessaly, Greece, in 2012. She pursued further studies and obtained a Μaster’s degree in Public Health and Εnvironmental Hygiene from the School of Medicine at the same University in 2014.
During her undergraduate and master studies, she was awarded two scholarships.
In 2018, Dr. Tsokana earned her Ph.D. from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, School of Health Sciences, University of Thessaly.
Following her post-graduate studies, she held a managerial position in the pharmaceutical industry for four years (2019-2023), working in the Technical and Pharmacovigilance Departments. Since 2012, she has actively participated as a researcher in seven funded research programs.
After completing her Ph.D., Dr. Tsokana gained extensive teaching experience in Parasitology, Microbiology, and One Health modules at different Departments of the University of Thessaly and at the School of Veterinary Medicine at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
Her research interests are centered around parasitology with a special focus on parasites related to Public Health and vector-borne pathogens, as well as molecular and serological diagnostics.
Dr. Tsokana has authored or co-authored 38 articles published in peer-reviewed journals and has presented at national and international congresses. She also contributes to the academic community as a reviewer for international peer-reviewed journals.
