Dimitris D. Vlastos is a Health Psychologist. He holds an MSc in Health Psychology, awarded with Distinction by the School of Psychology of Cardiff Metropolitan University.

He is a Lecturer and Academic Coordinator of the Department of Psychology of the
SCG – Scientific College of Greece and its respective Psychology Programmes offered in collaboration with the University of Strasbourg. In addition, he directs the Laboratory of Experimental and Applied Psychology of the SCG – Scientific College of Greece, where sophisticated and contemporary research methods are used to study human behavior and its underlying processes. The research of the SCG Laboratory focuses on the study of human social behavior and cognition. Theoretical knowledge and thorough methodology are used to solve applied problems concerning society and organizations.
He has supervised many student theses, with publications and announcements in international conferences and journals. His teaching and research interests are spanning in the fields of Health Psychology and Behavioral Medicine, with specific expertise in the application of Psychological Science in One Health. He is particularly interested in human-ecosystem interaction and interventions aimed at enhancing well-being, adopting the Cognitive-Behavioral model.
